2016 Year-end Summary

Dear Beacon of Hope Supporters,

 I am always amused at this time of the year when I see support letters from large non-profit organizations that need to raise a million dollars in the last few days of the year or need to reach their matching challenge total.  I always wonder how much goes towards the mission and how much goes towards wages, rent, or other unnecessary luxuries.  Your love gifts to Beacon of Hope are used in the most efficient way possible.  We have no employees, no rent and very little overhead. Ninety five cents in every dollar goes directly to the mission!

  All of our team members volunteer their time because they love Jesus and they want to get the gospel message out to as many young people as they can.  They are carrying out the Matthew 28 Great Commission. Sowing the gospel seeds and spreading them far and wide from Durban, South Africa all the way up to Uganda's northern border with Sudan.

  We are able to take the Smart Choices message to students at a cost of a little over one dollar per student.  The Students receive:

  • Crucial information about AIDS and other sexually transmitted diseases.
  • Character development guidance.
  • The Gospel through the showing of the Jesus Film.

 

2 Corinthians 9:7 “Each man should give what he has decided in his heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.” (NIV)
With current funds and monthly pledges we have close to 50% of our planned 2017 budget.  Please help us by making a generous donation to Beacon of Hope. You can count the number of students that you will impact directly by the number of dollars you donate: Approximately one dollar per student.
