As Beacon of Hope International prepares for this year’s Giving Tuesday Event, one of the things for which I am grateful is the loyalty and commitment of our generous benefactors to our group. Because of your support we have been able to accomplish major achievements together such as: |

- Our BOH-KZN non-profit partner in Richards Bay South Africa, which manages four of our Smart Choices teams, was successful in applying for and receiving a grant through the PEPFAR fund for 2017. This is President Bush's Africa AIDS initiative fund.
- Our teams trained a record 30,000 students in 2016. This is a significant increase that could not have been made without the generous support of our benefactors. Our teams have opportunity and bandwidth to reach more students with the AIDS and Gospel message, if we have the funds to fund them.
- This year, we also planned a different type of mission trip for January 2017 than we have done in the past. For the first time we are bringing all of our teams together to one location in Johannesburg for a four-day seminar. This will also represent the first time we will send out mini teams to two of the four countries we operate in during the second week of the trip.
