History:

Seabird was born in Zimbabwe currently living in Johannesburg, South Africa.  Seabird's journey with Beacon of hope began in 2014 when he trained as a facilitator for the team based in Johannesburg. In 2016 Seabird became the team leader for the second team in Johannesburg. In April 2017 Seabird married Smanga Moyo.  Seabird and Smanga have since been blessed with their first baby Mayah Blessing Siziba.  They all attend the Brethren In Christ Church in Hillbrow along with Welcome Ndlovu, our other Johannesburg team leader, where they first became exposed to the Smart Choices AIDS preventions program. The Smart Choices program and discipleship training has been used to impact the lives of many Johannesburg area student, by instructing them about HIV/AIDS and encouraging and modeling good character based on the Gospel and the principles taught by Jesus. 

Prayer:

They operate in an areas of Johannesburg that is seriously rundown. There is a high rise building right across the street from the BICC church with broken out windows and I am sure that alcohol and drug abuse is rampant there. My prayer for these teams is that they would find a way to expand their activity beyond the schools and start presenting the Smart Choices and the Gospel to the adults in this area.
