Abstinence:
The primary purpose of all mission trips is to
encourage all that we come in contact with to commit to a life lived in
service and gratitude to our Lord Jesus Christ.
The next core focus of our current mission activity is to educate
young adults of the extreme danger of having illicit sex with multiple
partners and encouraging them to make the following pledge of abstinence.
Because I have been
created by God, I know that my life has value.
I want to follow His plan for my life and I promise to practice
abstinence until marriage.
We feel that it is hypocritical for any one of us
to be in front of a class of students encouraging them to a life of
abstinence while we are not doing the same ourselves.
Also, we do not want the personal actions of individual team
members to be a stumbling block for God to bless our activity and the
outcome of our mission.
For this reason we will assume that if have signed
the team member covenant below, that will signify to us that you will
comply with the following team pledge.
