Mzingazi
Orphanage
This orphanage has come into being out of shear necessity as a result of
children being left without anyone to take care of them primarily due to
the death of their parents from complications from AIDS. This home was
founded by Dr Zodwa Ntuli (in the center of the picture with the kids) and
it is now run by her sister Busisiwe. This Home was completed in
2007 with funds provided by Beacon of Hope International, The Village
Church of Irvine in California, and funds and labor provided by Solid
Ground Church in Empangeni (formally Thandaza) .

Living
Stones Covenant Church Orphanage
Pastor Clement Masondo
recently took a pole of children living in the immediate area surrounding
his church and discovered that there are 33 kids that have lost one or
both of there parents and are being taken care of grand parents or
siblings or not at all and who were not getting at least one good meal a
day. Pastor Clement and his wife Thuli along with the congregation of
their church have taken on the responsibility to caring for all of these
kids.
God's
Golden Acre
When we
visited this facility in 2004 there were about 92 children living in the
facility. It had recently been the topic of discussion on the Oprah
Winfrey show because she was financially supporting about 8 children at
the facility.
