Mission trips to
Zimbabwe are
typically undertaken by West Coast churches, specifically from
California. We can also accommodate team members from other areas.
We work with the Baptist Church of Bulawayo and Youth for Christ to
teach the Smart Choices AIDS prevention education program to
schools, church groups and youth groups in Bulawayo. The
Bulawayo team has plans to take this plan to all the major cities in
Zimbabwe.

The model used for trips to
Zimbabwe is to have all participants completely trained in the Smart Choices
curriculum before the trip begins. We take one day upon
arrival to meet our local church hosts, divide up into teaching
teams and coordinate our teaching plan. Each team then teaches
one school during the first week and repeats the program at a second
school during the second week.

The estimated cost of the trip is $3800. This is an estimate and might change before the
departure date. The final cost will depend
on the point of departure and the prevailing ticket prices at the time of
purchase. The exchange rate has been fairly stable for the last four
years and the following price estimates for the in country expenses were
calculated using the rate of
8.0 Rand (ZAR) to 1 Dollar (USD) . |
